Cranberry Almond Bark

IMG_1809

Talk about an easy, delicious, and absolutely beautiful dessert! I’ve been searching for some dessert recipes that are simple enough that I don’t need to go out and buy a bunch of weird ingredients that I will only use one a year.  This bark is so simple and uses just three ingredients…that I usually always have in my pantry. I hope you’ll not only try this recipe, but make it your own by adding in your favorite toppings. The next time I do this, I will add pistachios to it so that it looks even more festive. Plus the chocolate sets nicely and does not melt which makes it great for a party. Okay I’m done ranting about how delicious this bark is and will go let you try it for yourself!!!Enjoy:)

Ingredients:
2 cups chocolate (I use enjoy life dairy free chips)
1/2 cup slivered almonds, roughly chopped
1/4 cup dried cranberries

Directions:
1. Line a 9×13 baking sheet with parchment paper to have prepared for the bark.
2. In a double broiler, melt the chocolate until smooth.
3. Pour the melted chocolate on the baking sheet, spreading until the chocolate has roughly 1/8 inch thickness all throughout. Sprinkle the almonds and cranberries on top. Let bark set in the refrigerator for 1 hour or in the freezer for 30 minutes.
4. Once the bark as set, break into desired pieces.

Notes:
Add a variety of toppings: pistachios, hazelnuts, peanuts, swirl creamy peanut butter…whatever you enjoy on delicious chocolatey bark!
